| GAIL ROSIER,
now based in Henley-on-Thames, Oxon., has lived all over the world from
Morocco and Angola to the USA. She has directed extensively (Shakespeare,
Brecht, Sheridan, Friel, Wertenbaker, Fo, Lorca) and enjoyed a work placement
at the Royal Court with James McDonald during Peaches, courtesy of
Sir John Mortimer, who, along with Sinead Cusack, is a patron of the Acorn
Music-Theatre Company* which she co-founded seven years ago with Robina
Dallmeyer. Lately she has specialized in open air performances and was in
the Henley Festival For Music and the Arts in July on a programme which
included Jose Carreras and Leslie Garrett. Original devised work with Acorn
has been performed in Zippo’s Circus at the Edinburgh Festival and the Grahamstown
Festival, South Africa, as well as in the barns and fields of South Oxfordshire,
and is characterized by live, on-stage music and dynamic physical theatre.
Gail enjoys collaboration with other artists, notably Seb Piper (artist,
musician) and Hannah Firmin (illustrator) and is looking forward to working
